We support all meetings and societies that aim to deliver education despite the new rules set by COVID-19. Some meetings listed below will feature highlights or select presentations on the Kidney Academy community forum for on demand viewing.

The Vascular Access Society of the Americas is devoted to the advancement of the field of dialysis access through research, education and advocacy for patients with end stage kidney disease. Every two years, VASA hosts the Vascular Access for Hemodialysis Symposium to provide an opportunity for continuing education in the field of vascular access. It will benefit all transplant, vascular and general surgeons, nephrologists, interventional radiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals. The 2020 VASA Vascular Access for Hemodialysis Symposium will be a virtual event, taking place October 8 – 10. On October 8, VASA will offer an Allied Health Pre-Conference Workshop as well as a Global Dialysis Forum. Note: The VASA Symposium will be eligible for continuing education credit for physicians, nurses, and technicians.

With the theme of ‘Team Approach Towards Better Vascular Access’, KLVAC aims to bring together the various stakeholders (dialysis nurses and managers, nephrologists, general surgeons, plastic surgeons, urologists and vascular surgeons) involved in vascular access to work towards one common goal which is the best therapy for all renal failure patients. It will enable the various disciplines involved to share knowledge and experiences in the various aspects of vascular access.
