How much does membership cost?
Membership is FREE for a limited time! Special discounts for certain society memberships may also apply.
How much do the modules cost?
CME access is only $150 per online module. Module are accredited for 3-12 CMEs (3-12 hours). Our current modules are updated annually. More learning opportunities, including webinars, are being developed now and will be available soon.
Module 8: Dialysis Access Steal Syndrome is available free of charge.
Payment methods: Major credit cards are accepted.
ONLINE CME MODULES
What do the modules contain?
Modules contain: Text developed by faculty experts in dialysis access, extensive links to publications, videos, and detailed images. Modules will cover 17 dialysis access topics. Modules also contain in-depth and cutting-edge downloadable PDF resources to keep. When complete, Kidney Academy will have 15 modules covering the full spectrum of dialysis access education.
How many CMEs will I earn per modules?
Each module is accredited for 3-12 CMEs (3-12 hours). (Please note: International students should inquire with their own accrediting organization for credit transfer.)
Can I pick and choose the modules to complete?
Yes! Modules are independent and stand alone, and can be completed in any order. Choose modules that are of most interest or necessity to you.
Are the modules accredited?
Yes! All modules are accredited by ACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education). (Please note: International students should inquire with their own accrediting organization for credit transfer.)
How often are modules updated?
All modules are updated on an annual basis to maintain ACCME-accredited status.
How long do I have to complete the module?
All modules are self-paced. Complete the training at your own pace, in your own space. Once the module is launched, you may start it and stop it as often as you wish. Gain instant access to the trainings upon module payment ($150 per online module) with total access time lasting one year.
What languages are the modules available in?
Only English is offered at this point in time.
Do I need any special equipment for the modules?
You will simply need a regular personal computer or laptop with an internet connection. (Tablets and phones are not recommended as they may be too small to clearly see text/video/images.)
Required Hardware / Software
A computer with an internet connection. Internet Browser: Internet Explorer 7.x or higher, Firefox 4.x or higher, Safari 2.x or higher, or any other W3C standards compliant browser. Other additional software may be required such as PowerPoint or Adobe Acrobat Reader.
What happens upon completion of a training?
Upon successful completion (defined as a 70% passing of a post-test), a digital PDF of the CME certificate will be awarded (which can be downloaded or printed).
